About GRASP

We’re a group of friends and neighbors dedicated to connecting residents with representatives and candidates.

We are non-partisan, and among our main goals is harnessing the power of folks to get involved in politics on a local level.

We focus on highlighting—and potentially influencing—leaders who impact Philadelphians living between the rivers and south of South Street. All residents within that geography are considered part of GRASP’s membership

Local Events

We host events that connect to many levels of local government. We believe that quality leadership starts local.

Based in South Philadelphia, we began our interest in local politics in our own various wards.

Since our beginnings hosting meet-and-greet with the PA 184th House District candidates, we moved on to hosting events for meeting South Philly Ward leaders, U.S. Congressional Candidates (PA-3 and PA-5), PA Lieutenant Governor race candidates, and many municipal election candidates.

Like our logo’s morphing maps, we continue to grow our mission and reach by engaging with our neighbors, advocating for the importance of local elections, and growing the pool of registered voters in our small neighborhoods.
